Current term of office:  Jan. 1, 2024 – Dec. 31, 2027

I am grateful to the voters who trusted me with this responsibility and provided this opportunity to work towards positive changes for our school district.

I have lived in the Groveport Madison School District my entire life. My brother, sister, and I graduated from Groveport Madison Schools. My wife Cheryl and I have been married for nearly 30 years, and we have two wonderful sons and a granddaughter.

I studied AV/ Technical Communications at the Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology. I offer design and integration services for Audio Video and Lighting Technologies. Having worked with small, local businesses and some of the biggest companies in the US, I love the diverse nature of my work and enjoy addressing unique challenges. Additionally, I am a nine-year military veteran, serving as a field artillery gun chief for six years and a leadership instructor for three years.

I greatly enjoy serving others! I served on the school board for four years in the early 2000s, leading the district out of split sessions, and worked with the board to eliminate waste and usher in new leadership. I have coached soccer in our community, provided Rotary on Youth Leadership Scholarships to Groveport Madison students, and worked on many other projects benefiting individuals and the community. I have sponsored students to Boys State and Girls State as Vice Commander in the American Legion. Currently, I work as the Volunteer Director at our local Family Food Pantry, which serves hundreds of families in need within our school district every month. In my spare time, I enjoy the great outdoors, hiking, scuba diving, fishing, rappelling, rifle marksmanship, and sharing time with friends. I enjoy reading and many different sports as well.

In the Groveport Madison Schools District, I believe there is a need for improved facilities planning, education, leadership, and community/staff engagement. I value input and collaboration from our valued employees, community members, and students. I do my best to make well-informed, data-driven decisions. I continue to practice the tasks, conditions, and standards learned from my time as a military leader.

I believe our objective needs to be spelled out, together with the equipment, people, and settings we'll need and the performance standards we will adhere to. This calls for discipline, focus, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation. With the Board of Education, I will put in endless effort to create reasonable, fair policies for all parties and rule by following District policies.
