October 10th Deadline for Immunization Records
State law requires that all students attending an Ohio public school have up-to-date immunization records on file with the school nurse. In the event a parent/guardian has chosen not to immunize their child for medical, religious, or personal reasons, a signed letter of exemption must be provided to the school nurse on an annual basis.
Graduation Scheduled for June 8
Graduation exercises for the Groveport Madison Class of 2019 will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2018, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Graduation will be held in the high school stadium, located 4475 S. Hamilton Road, Groveport.
District Sees Continued Improvement on Report Card
While state report cards have been issued since 1999, this is first time, the Ohio Department of Education assigned an overall grade for each of the state’s school districts.  We are pleased to report that the District earned an overall grade of “C” on this year’s report card. Of particular note, Groveport Madison Schools earned an "A" on the Value Added grade this year, meaning that students achieved more than a year's-worth of academic growth over the course of the year. In addition, the District received an "A" grade for the academic growth of our students who have struggled the most (the lowest 20% of achievers), an “A” Value Added grade for students with disabilities, and a "A" Value Added grade for students who are receiving gifted services. Of the 16 central Ohio school districts, only five other districts earned an “A” Value Added grade.
