School Nurse with Child Ensuring the health and wellness of our students is among our top priorities. Groveport Madison School District employs some of the best school nurses and nurse secretaries you'll find anywhere. They work tirelessly to not only take care of students when they're injured or feeling unwell, they also ensure all medications are dispensed appropriately and they keep track of all of the immunization and allergy records needed to keep students safe.

Be sure to introduce yourself to the school nurse and/or nurse secretary when you visit your child's school. And, most certainly, let them know if your child has any special medical needs that may require their attention. A list of the school nurses and nurse secretaries can be found, below.

State of Ohio Immunization Requirements

Ensuring your child is immunized helps keep him healthy, as well as other children attending his school. You can download a list of state-required immunizations below.

Additional Immunization Requirements for Incoming Seventh and Twelfth Graders

Seventh Graders:  Ohio requires students to receive a booster dose of the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis) and the MCV4 (Meningococcal) vaccine. The Meningococcal vaccine is a new requirement for entry into the seventh grade.

Twelfth Graders: The State of Ohio requires a second dose of the MCV4 (Meningococcal) vaccine for entry into the twelfth grade.

Once your child has received the required vaccinations, please provide a copy of the shot record to your school’s nurse. Feel free to contact the school nurse with any questions or concerns.

Upcoming Immunization Clinics
