Tips for Staying Healthy During Flu Season
 
During the fall and winter months it’s a good idea to stay vigilant about staying healthy to avoid catching the flu. In addition to getting an annual flu shot, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Protection recommends steering clear of sick people, staying home when you feel unwell and utilizing good hand washing practices to avoid getting sick. The agency also recommends regularly cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces. Below are some tips for avoid catching or spreading the flu:
  1. Get a flu shot!
  2. Clean your hands often
  3. Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
  4. Avoid close contact with sick people
  5. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
  6. Practice other good health habits (nutrition, sleep, etc.)
