Thank you to all those who have submitted questions for our Fast Fact Friday!

Due to the overwhelming number of questions submitted, we will answer multiple questions throughout the coming weeks to cover as many as possible. These questions are answered in the order they were submitted. If you would like to view the first Q&A responses, please click here.

In addition, building-specific questions that the building administration can address have been forwarded to that building and will be answered promptly. If your question has not been answered this week, don't worry—it may be included in the following weeks!

QUESTION #1:  Why are students not allowed to use lockers at Middle School South?

ANSWER #1:  At this time, none of the middle school buildings regularly use lockers. This began during COVID-19 and has remained consistent since then. There are many factors in the decision not to use lockers. The middle school buildings do not have enough lockers for all students. Also, the lockers are in the classrooms due to how the schools were built, so it becomes disruptive to classes when students need to access their lockers. This is a great topic to address with the District's Facility Master Plan Committee. QUESTION #2:  Does Groveport Madison Schools have PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports)? If so, do they allow schools to have their own metric, or does the district have one everyone follows?

ANSWER #2:  Groveport Madison Schools has PBIS as a district. Each school in the district has a PBIS plan that they have developed to fit the specific needs of their building.
