Read 180 Program Getting Results
Reading is a fundamental skill that all children need to master to be successful in school and throughout life. Not all children enter school having mastered the literacy skills necessary to keep up with their peers. Groveport Madison has been offering an intervention program at the middle school level called Read 180 which is helping kids advance by more than three or four reading grade levels within just one year.
School Library Spaces Being Reviewed
We believe libraries are very important. Whether schools provide a traditional library space or deliver the services in another way is dependent upon our district's ability to provide adequate classroom spaces for our teachers and students. As enrollment continues to increase, we must become more flexible and creative in how we deliver some of those services.
National Book Month Weekly Recommendations
In celebration of "National Book Month," Groveport Madison Schools has partnered with the Columbus Library to obtain a list of recommended books for readers of all ages.

Each week the website will feature a new list of book recommendations geared for a particular age segment. The first week features a list for young readers.

Grade 3 Summer Intervention Program
The Groveport Madison Local School District is offering its Grade 3 Summer Intervention Program and a third opportunity for students to take the Grade 3 Reading Ohio Achievement Assessment (OAA), to any third grade student who has been retained due to not passing the Spring Reading OAA.
CML and District School Delivery Program a Success
Access to good books is very important in helping children develop a life-long love of books, reading and learning! This year, Groveport Madison Schools partnered with Columbus Metropolitan Library to pilot a program that worked to get books into the classroom and into the hands of our students!
