I’d like to welcome all students and families to the 2019-2020 school year at Middle School Central. Central’s staff and students enjoyed a very successful and productive year in 2018-2019 and hope to make 2019-2020 even better.
I am very proud to share that Middle School Central was chosen by the Ohio Department of Education as a School of Honor for 2019. This honor was given to only 73 schools across Ohio, with just 2 schools in Franklin County. The award goes to schools that have shown a sustained pattern of high growth across all student subgroups. This is a tribute to students, families, and teachers who all worked in unison to produce such good results.
According to ODE, Central’s Performance Index jumped over 7 points from 2018-2019, which means a high percentage of our students are performing at higher levels on testing than they were the previous year. This is exciting! We expect to continue this momentum during the 2019-2020 school year and know that only happens with continued support from our students and families.
Middle School Central is blessed with a very talented, dedicated and experienced staff. They care deeply about student growth, well-being, and want only to prepare students for what lies ahead. We all look forward to continuing to work with students and families to make their experience at Middle School Central a memorable one.
