This week, we are also finishing up i-Ready diagnostics. 

i-Ready is an online program for reading and mathematics that will help your student’s teachers determine individualized needs, personalize their learning, and monitor progress throughout the school year. i-Ready consists of two parts: Diagnostic and Personalized Instruction.

 

The i-Ready Diagnostic adaptive assessment adjusts questions to suit your student’s needs. Each item a student sees is individualized based on their answer to the previous question. For example, a series of correct answers will result in slightly more challenging questions, while a series of incorrect answers will yield marginally easier questions. 

 

i-Ready Personalized Instruction provides students with lessons based on their skill level and needs so they can learn at the right pace. These lessons are fun and interactive to keep your students engaged as they learn. Data has shown that student abilities increase significantly when they consistently get at least 45 minutes per week in ELA and 45 minutes per week in Math and pass at least 2 of their weekly lessons. This is the expectation each week at Middle School North. Please check in with your child and see how they progress each week.
