As we start the second semester of the 2023-24 school year, I want to remind all families that your student's academic and personal success is our REASON for being! Every Student, Every Lesson, Every Day means that we are not only teaching the educational content of the Ohio Academic Standards but also teaching our students how to be productive members of a community.
We will have a PBIS Reset Day to review our building-wide expectations with all students.
On Thursday, Jan. 4, students will take their mid-year i-Ready diagnostic assessments in reading and math. Teachers will share with you at Parent/Teacher Conferences in February how much progress your student has made during the school year.
PLEASE look for ways to read with your student, to talk about what you're reading, and did I mention, READ?? Also, when you can:
- review sight words
- review letters and letter sounds
- count
- add and subtract
- talk about what it means to be a community member (following safety expectations, how we treat each other, handling things when we're frustrated, etc.)
