The Education Is the Way Endowment is managed by The
Columbus Foundation, which disperses the grants to the post-secondary
institutions and reports quarterly the financial status of the program to the
trustees. During 2009-10, 35
Groveport Madison graduates attending 20 different colleges and universities
received grants for over $18,000. The trustees are faced with the need to raise additional
income to prevent further eroding of the principal by the unsettling stock
market and the greater need of graduates for funds.
