Bryan Shoemaker
Mr. Shoemaker has lived in the Groveport Madison School district for the past 15 years with his wife and 4 children.

He has a senior at Eastland Career Center, a freshman at GMHS, and fifth and third graders at Groveport Elementary.  He is a proud product of the Columbus City Schools and for 20 years, he has been a member of Local Union #189 as a pipefitter.  With four children, his friends' children and the Groveport Madison community's children, he has a vested interest in the well-being of the district for years to come.  He stands accountable for each and every one of the 5,800 students in our district.

Anyone, who has had the opportunity to work with him, has found that he works hard. He has strong convictions and will admit when he is wrong and will stand behind issues that are right regardless of the pressure.  He says, "Our test scores are improving,  and as we strive for excellence, excellence can be achieved."  However he knows it will take a united community standing behind and providing assistance to our students.  He goes on to state, "Excellence is not a goal it is a destiny."  His personal goal  is to get the community involved as a positive force.  He hopes to find common ground for our schools and community to stand strong and united.

He looks forward to working with the administration, other board members and the community to keep the district moving in the direction of excellence both academically and fiscally.  He has an open door policy and encourages you to contact him through his e-mail account.

“Our children are our most valuable commodity.  Let’s unite, stand strong, and strive for excellence.  It’s our destiny.  Please volunteer at your school today; they need your help!”
