We want to update you on our Homecoming festivities this weekend. Groveport Madison will host Lancaster for the homecoming football game on Friday October 1st at 7pm. In the ever-changing environment we are in, decisions have been made to alter the plan for the Homecoming Dance. The dance will be held Saturday, October 2nd from 7pm to 10pm at Groveport Madison High School. The event will be held outside at the football stadium, rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. There will be a DJ and photographer and the concession stands will be open to purchase food and beverage items. Due to the nature of the event, dress attire will be more casual and less formal than previous years. However, students are still strongly encouraged to dress up but also remember to bring a jacket as the weather gets cooler in the evening. Tickets are twenty dollars each and will go on sale during lunch periods starting September 28th through October 1st. Career Center students can purchase tickets in the front office of GMHS from 8am to 10am or from 2pm to 3pm when the office closes. Tickets cannot be purchased at the door Saturday night. Outside guests are not permitted to attend this event. Lastly, there will be no mask requirement for the Homecoming Dance Saturday since the event will be fully facilitated in an outdoor setting. Students still have the right to wear a mask if they desire to do so. Please remember all code of conduct rules still apply at this event. We can all have a fun evening but let's do so in a positive manner. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we try to facilitate a homecoming dance under the current conditions.
