Fast Fact Friday: What are the District's Emergency Response Levels?
Question: "We've recently moved from another school district, and our kids now attend Groveport Madison Schools. I've noticed that GMS uses different language to describe emergency situations than what we're used to at our old school district. Are you able to define the differences for me?"

Answer:  Absolutely (and that's a really great question)! With school now back in full swing, it's a good idea to remind our community about the wording we use for emergency situations and threat assessments. Here's our Safety and Security website link to help you understand each level and its definition. You'll see different terms like Stay Put, Shelter In Place, Secured Perimeter, and Lockdown. All are well-defined, and we provide examples to understand more clearly.
