State Funding Cuts Prompt Change in Summer Schedule
As a cost-saving measure, the District's office (DSC) and all schools will be on a 7 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Thursday schedule until August 3rd. By closing the DSC and our ten schools one day per week during peak cooling times, the District expects to save close to $25,000 in utility expenses. Cuts in state funding for the current and next fiscal years has caused the District to look at a variety of expense reductions over the course of the coming year.
