Groveport Madison High School to Launch JROTC Program in Fall 2025
Groveport Madison High School is proud to announce the launch of a new Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) program beginning in August 2025. Housed at the Cruiser Accel building, this exciting new opportunity will offer students a military-focused educational pathway during the 2025-2026 school year.

The interest from students has been tremendous, with over 100 students already expressing a desire to participate. The enthusiasm was clearly visible during the program's first informational meeting, which was held recently at the high school.

JROTC is designed to develop leadership skills, citizenship, responsibility, and community service in young people while providing insight into military careers. Although it is not a recruiting program, JROTC lays a strong foundation for students who may be interested in pursuing military service, college ROTC programs, or leadership roles in any field.

"We are thrilled to bring this incredible opportunity to our students," said GMHS Principal, Jeff Altman. "The JROTC program will not only strengthen our students' academic and leadership abilities but will also further our mission of preparing them for success after graduation."

The Groveport Madison JROTC program is expected to play an active role in the school and the community through ceremonies, community service projects, and other leadership activities. As the 2025-2026 school year approaches, excitement continues to grow among students, staff, and families.

Stay tuned for more updates as the Groveport Madison JROTC program prepares to take flight!
