The Columbus Urban League Work Readiness Training Program, a valuable opportunity for youth aged 14-19, is now accepting applications for this summer. This program, offered by the Columbus Urban League (Work Readiness Training University/WRTU), not only provides a job placement experience but also enhances youth learning and development. The program accepts walk-in enrollment (for youth) and can hire nearly 400 youth in the summer and 200 year-round.
To enroll, a complete and qualifying application is required.
Open House hours:
When: Every Tuesday and Wednesday, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Mondays and Thursdays noon-5 PM through June 27! (until slots are full)

To complete the process, please work with your parent, mentor, or guardian to bring the following documentation:
Identifying Information:
- Proof of custody arrangements (if applicable)
- Government-issued photo ID (applicant)
- Social Security card (minor)
- Government-issued photo ID (child, if applicable)
- Birth certificate (minor)
- Immigration documents (if applicable)
Proof of Residency:
- Current mortgage statement, lease agreement, or utility bill (within 30 days)
Current Income:
- Recent pay stubs (30 days) or alternative income documentation
Proof of Enrollment in School:
- School enrollment verification/grade card (minor)
- Vocational School/College enrollment verification (18-19)
