Author and Illustrator Steve Harpster visited our school on December 2nd to share his books and talk about making art. All grades levels got to participate in assemblies where they got to draw along with Mr. Harpster. Students drew all kinds of fun animals and creatures, such as robot gorillas and pirate hamsters. Students had a blast getting to draw with and meet Mr. Harpster after watching his videos in art class for the last five years. 

Steve Harpster is the creator of Harptoons and Harptoons Publishing. He is the author of dozens of drawing books, and has been uploading how to draw videos onto YouTube since 2009. Many of his books and drawing videos encourage kids to draw animals and other creatures by starting with a letter or number.
