First of all, we want to thank all of the students and families that helped make our Read-a-thon such a success. With your help, our school raised over $9,000 and students read over 220,000 minutes. That is an incredible accomplishment! With all of the money we raised, we are able to bring author and illustrator Steve Harpster to visit our building in December. Steve Harpster has a YouTube channel where he posts how to draw videos daily for kids. We will also be using our fundraiser money to pay for an all school field trip in the spring.

Our students were able to earn many different prizes for reaching different reading and fundraising goals such as popcorn parties, pizza parties, watching a movie, and even getting to have a pajama party with author S.R.D. Harris. Our final reward and prize was the chance for students to pie a staff member in the face. I think we can all agree from the number of smiles that they had a great time!
