Board Selects Jamie Grube as New Superintendent

The Groveport Madison Local Schools Board of Education voted to employ Jamie Grube as the District's next superintendent. Grube was awarded a three-year contract beginning on August 1, 2022. Details of the agreement are yet to be finalized.

Grube has been the District’s deputy superintendent since July 2018 and is currently serving as interim superintendent.

“Over the four years he has served as our Deputy Superintendent, Jamie has demonstrated his leadership skills and understanding of the District’s needs,” said Board President Chris Snyder. “He shares the Board's vision for the school district and has built positive, trusting relationships with our staff and many of our community’s leaders. He definitely has the skills, experiences, and relationships needed to move the District forward.”

"It's truly an honor to be selected as superintendent of Groveport Madison Schools," said Grube. "Despite disruptions from the impact of the COVID pandemic, we've accomplished a great deal over the past few years. I plan to use that foundation and our dedicated and hard-working staff to build our capacity to improve student academic achievement. We will also continue our efforts to provide more social-emotional support for students and staff and to continue to create an environment where we honor respect and appreciation for one another’s contributions, perspectives, and uniqueness.

Grube began his education career as a teacher at Sentinel Career Center in Tiffin, OH, and then taught at Franklin Heights High School, in Columbus. During his administrative career, he's served as an assistant principal at Central Crossing H.S. and Westland H.S., principal of Westland H.S., director of personnel for South-Western City Schools, and superintendent of Buckeye Valley Local Schools. Before coming to Groveport Madison, Grube was the Executive Director of the Metropolitan Education Council and Chief Operations Officer of META Solutions.

He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in business education from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from The Ohio State University. He also earned his superintendent's professional license from the State of Ohio.

Grube and his wife, Cindy, live in Pickerington. They enjoy traveling and “just spending time with their three daughters and extended family.”
