Mr. Buddy Callicoat was a wonderful colleague, mentor and friend.  He loved to laugh and smile and lived every day of his life with a positive attitude and huge heart.  For those who  had the privilege of calling him "friend" outside of work, we were humbled by his kindness and compassion to everyone around him.  Buddy had a passion for travel, fishing, and spending time with his kids and family.  

Throughout his years of service, he had the great ability to inspire students. Building relationships with students and showing them that they were valued was the most important aspect of his job. Buddy never forgot a student’s name or face, even many years after having them in class.  In fact, many students kept in tough with him throughout their later years. 

Buddy was a remarkable man and an asset to the Madison family. Everyone at Madison Elementary is better for having known him. He will be greatly missed.
