Groveport Madison Schools is excited to welcome three new leaders to the Cruiser family as the district prepares for the 2026-27 school year.

Families and staff at Asbury Elementary will be greeted by Nicholas Wright as he steps into the role of Asbury Elementary’s new principal. Mr. Wright comes to us from Reynoldsburg City Schools where he was the principal at Taylor Road Elementary. He brings a passion for building relationships, fostering a positive school culture and creating an environment where every student feels supported and encouraged to succeed. Mr. Wright is eager to partner with Asbury families and staff to continue the school's commitment and dedication in helping students grow to the best of their abilities.

At the district level, Grace Waggoner will serve as Groveport Madison's new Director of Teaching & Learning. Throughout her career, Ms. Waggoner has focused on supporting student achievement, strengthening instructional practices, and helping schools meet the needs of all learners. Most recently, she served as Director of Student Services for Johnstown-Monroe Local Schools, where she worked closely with educators and families to support academic growth and student success. Her collaborative leadership style and commitment to continuous improvement will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning across our district.

Joining our district's executive leadership team is Tom Holdren, who will serve as Deputy Superintendent. Mr. Holdren has extensive experience in educational leadership, most recently serving as Assistant Superintendent for Licking Heights Local Schools. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his strategic leadership and ability to build strong school communities. His experience as both a building and district leader will help support Groveport Madison's continued efforts to provide outstanding opportunities for students while strengthening services for families and staff.

Together, Wright, Waggoner and Holdren bring a wealth of experience, fresh perspectives, and a shared commitment to supporting students. Groveport Madison Schools is proud to welcome them to the Cruiser family and looks forward to the positive impact they will have. It’s great to be a Cruiser!
