Dionna Herbert - Vice President
Term of office: Jan. 1, 2026 – Dec. 31, 2029
I serve on the Groveport Madison Board of Education as a parent, professional, and advocate who takes seriously the responsibility we share to care for our children. Families place deep trust in this board, and I approach this role with care, preparation, and respect for that responsibility.
As a mother with children in the district, I understand the hopes and concerns families carry each day. I want schools to be places where children feel safe, supported, and challenged, and where families know their voices matter.
I bring more than 20 years of experience in human resources and organizational leadership. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with people navigating complex systems, helped resolve difficult situations, and supported teams through change. That experience has taught me the importance of listening, asking the right questions, and making thoughtful decisions that affect real people.
I am also a youth basketball coach, which keeps me connected to students beyond the classroom. Coaching reminds me that children grow best when adults are consistent, present, and willing to meet them where they are.
As a member of the Board of Education, I will approach every decision with patience, honesty, and a long-term perspective. I value collaboration, transparency, and steady leadership, and I remain focused on doing right by our children and the families who entrust them to our schools.
