Every quarter teachers name a few stellar students from their classroom. A stellar student is a student who has shown a good amount of growth throughout the quarter. Students are selected based not only on academics, but on personal accomplishments as well.

Once a month our school has a Schoolhouse Meeting assembly in the gym where we work on different social-emotional learning topics with students. At the end of each meeting, every teacher and staff member in the room chooses a student to recognize as being a 3R Student. 3R Students are chosen if they have displayed one or more of our three qualities of being ready to learn, responsible, and respectful in the previous month. Our 3R students are awarded with Horseshoe Awards which they can enter to win prizes in drawings throughout the year, and these students get recognized with their photo in the front hallway.
