Eighth grade SOAR study skills group toured the Ohio University campus as a final group activity. They learned about what colleges look for in high school students when choosing whether to admit them or not. They learned what an SAT, ACT, and GPA are. They also learned a lot about college life. One of the biggest takeaways was a student saying, "I don't know how I'm going to get myself here, but I need to." Another student texted pictures of the tour to his sixth grade brother saying, "You need to get your grades up so you can come to a place like this." Overall, it was a successful trip!
