Students to be Asked to Take Climate Survey
Student Climate SurveyYour child’s social-emotional health and overall well-being is very important to us. In fact, this issue is one of our key goals to address over the course of this school year. In the coming weeks, students in grades three through 12 will be asked to participate in a brief survey to help us better understand their social and emotional needs, and their perception of their school’s climate/culture.

Students will be asked about their social-emotional skills and sense of belonging when they are at school, how they view teacher-student interactions, and school safety.

The survey results will be used to help the District’s leadership team assess the services we currently have in place, as well as determine how we can increase and improve the level of support we provide to our students. The information your child provides through the survey will be held in the strictest confidence. It will not be shared with his/her teachers nor other members of the school’s staff. Rather, the information will be used collectively to help inform our decision-making as a school district.

Please encourage your child to participate in the survey and to provide his/her honest feelings and feedback.

Thank you for your support of this effort. Should you have questions about this process or if you would like to learn more about how the survey will help us meet our 2018-2019 goals, please contact your child’s principal.
