Jones Takes Over as New Principal at Middle School North
Jeff Jones was drawn to the job of principal at Middle School North because he felt like it was a place where he could make a difference.

“My greatest successes have been with students who need me,” said Jones, who accepted the job created when former principal Brandy Grieves left for a similar position in Colorado. “I want to be the person who helps students accomplish their goals.”

Jones plans to spend some time getting to know his students, staff and building before initiating any changes or new programs. “There’s enough work that needs done that I don’t need to make a splash by coming up with some big idea,” he said.

Jones, who most recently served as the principal of Beavercreek High School outside of Dayton, earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences and his Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Degree from Otterbein College. During his time at the 2,500-student high school, student academic achievement increased each year.

Jones is married and has two school-age children. He resides in Powell.
