Community Connections

There's a definite place that as a school you must make a connection and that would be the school community.  Working together to ensure the success of your students is the number one ingredient for a successful school year.  I welcome your ideas, suggestions, and help to move our school into excellence because you are an important part of our success.

I want to tell you about the initatives that's going on at Sedalia this school year.  We have a group of teachers who make up or "Community Committee" and they are brainstorming and meeting to find ways for different organizations to help our students anyway that they can.  In turn, we are also talking about how we as a school can help organizations that help our families in our school area.  We are now involved in "Kids Helping Kids", which involves any homeless families who are in need of personal care items.  Each grade level will be responsible in bringing in the items that was selected by that grade level of teachers.  On October 22nd, everyone involved in this project which includes many people and organizations, will come together and deliver all items collecting during the month of October.  If you would like to become involved in our community initiatives, please email us here at the school.

We will continue to update you on the current projects we have lined up to enhance the community that we live and work in everyday.
