Screenings occur approximately 3 times a year and will be performed by the preschool teachers and educational assistants. The next scheduled one is June 1 at Groveport Elementary.
Screenings are scored and results are communicated to parents via phone calls or emails. Not all who apply to be typically developing peers are chosen, as we look to accept those who will best meet our program needs of good role models to our students with disabilities. Also, to maintain continuuity of the program for our students with disabilities, we have set start dates for our typical peers in September at the start of school, early November, or in January after Winter Break.
Our preschool program is a strong program for all of our students, providing them with exposure to Ohio's Early Learning Content Standards that will add to their readiness for Kindergarten when they turn 5. |
