Classroom Announcements



Report cards will be sent home Monday, November 7th.  Please sign the envelope and return within 2 days.  The report card is yours to keep!

The November Scholastic Catalog is ready for you!  Feel free to view and order from www.scholastic.com/bookclubs. Go to the parent page , click the "Register" button in the "First Time Here?" section.  Register for your own user name and password.  When prompted, enter the following code HXLBQ.  Select the books you'd like to order, send your order to me online by the due date and your child's books will be delivered to my classroom.  The due date for the November catalog is November 25th.  For every online order we get a free book for our classroom!

From time to time Challenge Homework assignments will be sent home for your child to complete.

Any class work that your child does not complete, may be sent home.
In Room 129

In our classroom, your child will participate in whole group, small group, and individual instruction in reading, writing, math, social studies, and science.  My instruction is differentiated to meet each child's specific needs.  

I utilize the Daily 5 and CAFE for daily reading instruction and practice. I also utilize the Saxon Math Program for daily math instruction and practice.  I encourage you to investigate these programs by following the links to their websites.

All About Mrs. Jahn

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Jenny Jahn and I am your child’s 1st grade teacher. I grew up right here in Madison Township and graduated as a proud student of not only the Groveport Madison Schools, but also Asbury Elementary! I attended college at OSU, where my love of all things Buckeye grew. I recently celebrated my 4th wedding anniversary with my husband who is a PC Technician for Time Warner Cable. I am the proud mom of our daughter, Emma. My husband and I are enjoying every second of parenthood and it has brought a new perspective to my teaching!
