Pinwheels For Peace

At Asbury Elementary, we celebrated International Peace Day, which falls annually on September 21st, by creating an installation artwork of about 400 pinwheels! Pinwheels for Peace is an international project that is done throughout schools and other organizations on International Peace Day with the purpose of promoting peace through the creation and display of pinwheels. In 2010, an estimated 3.5 million pinwheels were spinning all over the world!
